    Deborah C. Moore, Ph.D., LMFT, SAP is an educator, clinician, and researcher. She is an expert on depression and anxiety. Deborah’s areas of research include self-influenced neuroplasticity, psychoneuroimmunology, and the neurobiology of mental health disorders. She is the founder of New York City Marriage and Family Therapy, PLLC (NYCMFT). As founder of NYCMFT, Dr. Moore integrates psychotherapy with neurofeedback to treat patients with depression, anxiety, and various other mental disorders. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Deborah is a leading authority in providing brain—behavior techniques to assist patients.  

    Trained as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Deborah evaluates employees that are in violation of the U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Programs Regulations. She also works closely with several immigration attorneys by providing psychological evaluations for their clients on the basis of political asylum, extreme/ exceptional hardship, and domestic abuse.  

    In addition to her practice, Dr. Moore has over 16 years teaching experience at various collegiate institutions. Deborah has taught an array of courses including Abnormal Psychology, Psychopathology, Biological Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Assessment & Testing, Social Psychology, Human Development Theories of Personality, and Introduction to Marriage & Family Therapy.

    Dr. Moore has been featured on various media outlets addressing mental health, stress, and post traumatic stress disorder. Lastly, Deborah is a retired lieutenant of police, where she served 21-years in the New York City Police Department.
